By significantly reducing employee commute times and enhancing the overall commuting experience, Busup has strategically strengthened its position in the corporate mobility sector through the acquisition of IOMOB, an Estonian startup known for its cutting-edge mobility-as-a-service technology.
Busup, a Spanish startup offering a platform for corporate mobility, has emphasized that this acquisition is a decisive step in expanding its value proposition. It integrates diverse corporate mobility options into a single platform, serving as an operational and technological aggregator for clients globally.
“Our objective is clear: to evolve our offering towards new corporate mobility services, capable of responding to the increasing complexity of employee commutes, always committed to sustainable mobility models,” says Rui Stoffel, CEO of Busup. Stoffel adds that IOMOB will serve as the base platform for the development of a new technology that the company has been working on since the end of 2025. “With this initiative, we are moving more precisely towards our vision: to build sustainable corporate mobility ecosystems, accessible to everyone,” he notes.
With the acquisition of IOMOB, Busup asserts that it has strengthened its technological capabilities by integrating an advanced platform that allows for the efficient connection and management of various mobility services. According to the company, this technology enables it to propose the “best route for each situation, improving the end-user experience when choosing their mode of transportation for commuting, whether it be company buses, carpooling, carsharing, or ride-hailing services.”
Busup states that this acquisition will accelerate the development of new features, respond to the growing demand for integrated mobility services, and expand its offering in key markets such as Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Mexico, and the United States.
